Alienware Area 51m R2's design is nearly same as the design of its predecessor one, i.e., Alienware Area 51m R1 model . Now, you can create a pictorial thought in your mind regarding its design . But, still, for those who are not familiar with the R1 model, let me explore the outfits of R2 model.
The laptop is built of silver plastic, i.e. , the chassis part of the device. No need of explanation, by this term silver plastic you can understand that both looks and durability has been prioritised by the company. Smoothly furbish which results into smooth touches when you touch it with your hands. Alienware Area 51m weighs 10 pounds ( 4.71 kgs ), a heavy one . That's what takes it away from winning the title " Portable Laptop " . Undoubtedly, Alienware Area 51m R2 is a beast , both, in terms of performance and physical characteristics.
But, its bulkiness becomes an issue for many because people nowadays prefer portable laptops. And I am pretty sure that one question has already started swirling around the minds of several readers . By whom will Alienware Area R2 be empowered graphically - NVIDIA or AMD ? But, how would you react if I say that both NVIDIA and AMD are available to you ? Fortunately, both of these are available to you, that is, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Super 8 GB DDR6 and AMD Radeon RX 5700M . Wait. Let be me more clear about it.

One thing that needs to be integrated is that R2 model owns NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660Ti 6 GB DDR6 graphics ( as I have already mentioned ). Neither do I have any sort of personal animosity with GTX 1660Ti, nor do I doubt on it's capabilities. But, the point of raising question is that GTX 1660Ti is not that as highly qualified as other remaining graphics and the system ( Alienware Area R2 ) is even a huge one and earmarked as a gaming monster . Logically, it won't get that much of support or strength from GTX 1650Ti so that it can further support the cornerstone of powerful gaming. Let's see how it performs when actually comes into play. But, still , as an advice, I recommend you to better ignore this 1650Ti graphic and focus on the remaining four while buying if can afford their prices.
But graphics and processing speed are not all alone that helps Area R2 to become a brand of gaming. There are some other reasons, as well, that heightens up the quality of gaming in it, which we are going to discuss in the storage part.
STORAGE
Configured with 256 GB NVMe SSD and 8 GB DDR4 RAM at 2933 MHz, Alienware Area R2 can be a warehouse of a wide number of applications. Till now, if you have read the article carefully, you have already noticed one thing that Alienware Area R2's each feature is available with piles of options, like it's display screen, processor, graphics. And this pile of options can be seen in its storage and RAM too. In fact, the SSD is available from 256 GB NVMe SSD to 2 TB PCle SSD ( Boot ) + 2 TB PCle SSD ( storage ) . RAM doesn't even stand behind in this matter , rather, it starts with 8 GB DDR4 RAM at 2933 MHz and maximizes upto 32 GB DDR4 at 3200 MHz .
Most of you already know and, still, if not, then it would be better you know that RAM and SSD plays a very vital role in boosting the gaming capabilities of a device. And, in the above para, the specs of SSD and RAM itself says how strong and fast the gaming would be if someone plays Alienware Area R2.
