Sourav Ganguly who is commonly known as Prince Of Calcutta was born on 8th July, 1972. He was fortunate enough to grow in an affluent family, his father used to own a gigantic printing business which was ranked as 3rd biggest in Asia .

Started his debut in 1992, Ganguly has instilled a remarkable difference in the attitude of his teammates , especially, after he was chosen for Indian captaincy . He is referred as Maharaja of Indian Cricket . Raised up in Kolkata Bengal, our Bengali Babu was extremely fascinated by football , but, later, he was brought up in Cricket by his elder brother, Snehasish Ganguly. Day by day, his diligency made him a responsible face of Indian Cricket Team and selected as team captain.

Sourav Ganguly left international cricket in 2008 but continued with Indian Premier League ( IPL ). He was elected as the 39th president of BCCI on 23rd October, 2019 .
